Life on the lake hits its prime in the summertime, and the Lake Rabun community is just two short months away from summer days. It might seem a little early to be prepping for summer, but its a busy time of year around Lake Rabun, full of tons of exciting events!

Saturday Night Bluegrass Jam

When: Every Saturday Night

Where: Bluegrass Square, Tallulah Falls

What: If you’re a fan of local music and the sweet sounds of bluegrass, then the Saturday Night Bluegrass Jam is perfect for you. Come out to hear some of the best local talent, grab some potluck grub, and warm up around the bonfire.

Northeast Georgia Arts Tour

When: June 7th-9th

Where: Various locations

What: A celebration of the talented artists in the Northeast Georgia area, the Arts Tour covers Rabun County to Union County and everywhere in between. Find the participating vendors in the Lake Rabun area, and support local art!

Rabun County Film Festival

Where: Tiger Drive-In

What: The second in a series of monthly showings, the Rabun County Film Festival at Tiger Drive-In is a reoccurring event. This month’s film is Standing Up, and guests can enjoy live music and a BBQ before the showing starts!

Where: Lake Rabun

What: Celebrate the 4th of July with a popular Lake Rabun summer event: the Fireworks on Lake Rabun! Take in the carefully planned and impressive show over the waterfront, and enjoy celebrating the holiday weekend.

Rabun Ramble

When: July 6th

Where: Lake Rabun Pavillion

What: Celebrating it’s 12th year of operation, the Rabun Ramble is a 5K and 10K event that contributes to a local cause. In addition to the race and awards for top runners, the Ramble also features food, refreshments, and stunning scenery. Plus, the proceeds go to the Lake Rabun Fund, which provides scholarships and community programs to the area.

35th Anniversary Lake Burton Fun Run

When: July 6th

Where: Moccasin Creek State Park

What: Another road race event, the Lake Burton Fun Run draws in 1000 participants every year! The proceeds from this popular run benefit the three Lake Burton Volunteer Fire Departments, Rabun Search and Rescue, and the Rabun County Sheriff’s Canine Division.

Plus, the day ends with fireworks over the lake!

Garlic Fest 2019

Where: Clayton Farmer’s Market

What: Are you a big fan of garlic? Come out and celebrate this culinary staple at the Clayton Farmer’s Market—and grab some fresh fruit and veggies while you’re at it! The morning will be full of fun garlic-themed events and foods that you won’t want to miss.

Dillard Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival

Where: Dillard City Hall Fairgrounds

What: Live music, cooking classes, tasty barbecue, and more—the Dillard Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival has it all. A perfect way to finish out the summer, the festival is a favorite around the Lake Rabun area.
